Charleston, SC hotel help

Hey folks, were are headin to Charleston SC in late june. Our charter will be at the Charleston City Pier (i think that is the name). Need some reccomendations for hotels. Not trying to get fancy here. We are gonna be 6 fisherman that just need a place to sleep and relatively close to the charleston resturant and nitelife area or the marina.

Id stay right over the bridge..in Mt. Pleasant...you got Shem Creek and tons of bars restaurants.....plenty of night life..and there is a couple chain hotels right at the base of the bridge.....

the Days Inn on Meeting Street should be right down your alley if you just want somewhere to crash after fishing, yet you still want to be in town. this will put you right in the middle of it all. im not exactly sure where the City Pier is....maybe the Maritime Center??? if so, thats just a handful of blocks away.

if possible, plan on spending a day/night or so extra in town after your fishing is done. Charleston is a freakin awesome place.

I lived in Charleston for years, I second the Days Inn, it walking distance from the bars and restaurants and a quick drive or cab ride from the marina, also reasonable prices. Call soon, they book up quick in the summertime.

Since fuel went to $4.00/gal anyway what good is staying in a nice hotel when all we do is fish all day and then go to a fine resturant eat and sleep.

I guess if you were coming with me we could forego the fine dining. Hit the Bojangles and go back to our 4 star room and share the biscuits and dirty rice. Ya up for that skinny?

sounds like a plan to me as long as we can have so sweet potato pie and some boberry biscuits.
