Census

Had someone come to the door who wanted to ask me questions for some census somebody is taking.
She wasn't a Jehova so I figured what the hell, I'll answer her questions.
UNTIL.
She asked me what race I was ????
Now. I've been in management positions, had my own company, I'm not allowed to ask that. Thats racism.
But hey, I'm a kinder gentler person these days so I answered politely.
I Said,
You ain't allowed to ask me that, Thats racist and I refuse to answer. I'm standin right in front of you, you figure it out.
She didn't really know what to say, particularly when my son came out to the door. He's from Quatemala. Mayan.
Then she said,
Hispanic is no longer a race ????
Whats your point ?
At that point I stopped being polite and told her to go away.
She did.
Good move on her part.
I had run out of civility and the Bronx was commin out..

But I got some questions for all the experts here on SFC.
What else is no longer considered a race ?
Is Indian still a race ?
Mayan is considered Indian, right ?
Does anyone know of any programs that will throw some money at an Indian ?
I'm tired of payin for this sht.
Time to collect.
I could use a new caddy.

This may be ingorance on my part but, the way I see it if we aren't American Indian, what does it matter? I mean none of us are "from" here, we're all mutt's. This Country wasn't founded by a bunch of blue-blood's to begin with. Everyone left somewhere else to come here. I really don't get why race is even an issue here to begin with. If you're a Citizen (legaly or by birth) do away with the race thing all together. It isn't like the blood lines are getting any more pure with the passing of time. Frank

that part was inserted in the slave days when a black person was considered 1/3 of a person(no chit)now it is used to manage precincts for progressive advantage.

Truth is, So many countries were invaded/visited by so many others theres no telling what bloodline any of us has.
Chances are all of us here on this little planet of ours are related somewhere along the line.
If someone says they can trace their bloodline back 600 years, thats nice, Who snuck out to the woodpile 700 years ago?

So, Your right, do away with the race thing all together.

Just annoyed me when she threw the race question at me.
And surprised that hispanic is no longer considered a race.

which brings up another question.
If mexicans,guatemalins, costa ricans are mayan and peruvians are inca etc. (not really sure what qualified you to be hispanic in the first place, simply speaking spanish enough ?) They all speak spanish but can no longer be hispanic, (not a race anymore) Not american indian so can they be indian or do they have to just get used to being part of the white majority, with all the non benefits that go along with it ? Just curious what the repercusions of such a thing will be.
