Caterpillar Deletes Critical Post

I posted a critical comment about my defective 3196 on Cat's forum. Instead of addressing the issue, the company deleted my post. Apparently somebody at Cat doesn't want the truth spread about the company's lemon engine. I saw that coming. The company continues to shirk responsibility for its defective product. I hope at some point they get a little bit of what Toyota got.

Caterpillar used to be the flagship of the U.S. marine engine industry. The flagship is sinking fast. If I had my choice, I'd speed up the process by sending the company a torpedo.

Don't worry Storm, that's the beauty of the internet, they can run but they cannot hide. If what you say is true, Cat will have to address these issues at some point, and the longer it takes them to do so, the worse it makes them look.

Cat also has no pull or relationship with us to even discuss removing something.
Would we remove something? Yes if it was proven to be a blatant BS attack.
Truth is consumers need a platform to stand on and I myself have even had to use it.

The post was on Cat's forum. Sorry for the miscommunication.

No pull by Cat is one of the reasons I like Sportfishermen. I try my best to report only facts. Although, throwing a torpedo in Cat's direction might be considered more of a blatant attack than a fact. Depends on how you look at it I guess.

I got booted from Boatdiesel.com several years ago beacuse administration was afraid my posts about the class-action would cost advertising bucks. I had to provide written documentation to back up everything I wrote. Eventually that wasn't even enough to keep administration happy. So off I went. Glad there's still forums on the net that Cat doesn't control. The company advertises in most of the marine related magazines. I wrote about the Cat engine issue to Commercial Fisheries News and National Fisherman. I got no response from National Fisherman and at least a response from CFN. BoatUS has been neutral as far as allowing posts that are critical of Cat. Apparently that's one of the other forums that Cat doesn't own, yet! In fact, the editor of BoatUS was kind enough to include a picture of my defunct engine being craned out of the boat in her editorial, Caterpillar Faces Class Action.
