Caterpillar 3196 Aftercooler Failures Continue

I just received an email from an individual who is in the process of overhauling his Cat 3196 due to an aftercooler failure. He's also changing out the aftercooler on his other 3196 which is showing signs of high sodium in oil samples.

The problem continues with these engines. I'd like to hear from anyone else that is experiencing problems with 3196 or C12 engines. Particularly, I'd like to hear from individuals that have had problems with the most recent version (serial number: 216-5147 revision 3) aftercoolers.

Information that you provide might be key to getting our ongoing engine issues resolved.

As far as I know, class attorneys are still waiting for a new trial date.
