both of ours and a neighbors were broken into last night.

My town was virtually crime free, until recently, dozens of cars a day are being broken into, especially at the local mall.

For one reason only......thieves are stealing those portable window mounted GPS units.

It's everywhere.
I live out in the middle of no where, and we've had a rash of car break-ins.
Change & whatever they can find taken.

Maryland DNR is also warning boatyards about alot of thefts of props being stolen, boat break-ins, etc.

Yup the complex were my daughter lives,someone threw the concret slap from rain downspout,thru her car window and took the GPS and Sirius radio!The radio's are useless to turn on once their reported stolen.....Sirus was cool they are replacein radio for free,insurance is pickin up GPS and window!

First I've heard of it Brad. We haven't had any problem around here. Probably some of the local crack heads looking for something to sell. Do you know what was taken?

in our 2 cars they took my backpack(i don't see why someone would take that) my moms work bag and my dads Sirius radio. Our one neighbor had 50 bucks stolen and i heard another neighbor had something stolen but don't know what.

We don't have that problem here,if someone gets caught breaking into vehicles we use their fingers as bait! Caught some good size stripers using "finger food"! But what always amazes me is that people leave valuables in their cars! Never give a thief something to steal!

I wondered about Sirius radio theft (since I just had one installed), criminals are dumb. I would hope they try to activate it and get caught!!

There were some cars broken into at OCFC over the summer and it turned out to be the homeless bums living under the bridge at the park and ride. Might be worthwhile to mention that to the police Brad.

Makes me mad as hell when something like this happens. What we used to call a "family resort" is still a great place to live and work, unfortunately in these tight economic times desperate people do desperate things.

I hope your books weren't in that backpack!!! I know that you'll be studying all week.
