Carolina Question... Wake Forrest?

Mini is looking to go to camp there this summer. Anybody know where wake forrest is? How far from the shore? Any info about the area? Anyone close enough to go poke her with a fork if she gets out of line?

wake is probably about 2 hours away from Wrightsville Beach or Wilmington area. Dont know alot about it but i tihnk thats about right. Not much help

The school, Wake Forest U, is in Winston Salem, about 15 miles from me. The mrs. graduated from their medical school a few years ago.

Appears to be northeast of raleigh durham but I don't know where that is in the big picture ...

Wake Forest is in the Winston Salem area. It is about 4 hours to the beach straight down I 40. I'm up there twice a month. You send the fork, I'll poke. Nice area much closer to some of the prettiest mountain ranges east of the Rockies than it is to the beach.

I would think that it is hard to get in trouble there but..............

The town is above Raleigh, we cut through there going to nags head, but the school is in Winston salem.

That's 2 hours or less to some of the best coastline in the east down I 40 (SSE). Takes about 3 to get to MHC from there (SE) . You are welcome to come visit but you probably won't want to leave. "Easy" drive up I 95, easier flight into RDU.
That's an easy "fork poke" from the coast.

Hey Deep, Your probably not going to find Wake Forrest on your chartplotter or nautical charts. On land, we folks who don't spend most of our time rocking back and forth on a boat use maps. You can make it over to Chub Cay blindfolded, I guess roadmaps are an entirely different animal!
