Yes.....you can fish for the sharks from the surf. You'll get a bite quick too. But, just don't let the beach patrol catch you. No shark tournaments though. As far as bull sharks go, I had a client mount one last summer that was right at 9 feet. Released it alive so we didn't get a weight.

No. Carolina has more fishermen/boats on the water, the Pelagics are generally closer to the ports, the Wahoo, YFT tuna and BFT tuna bite is a bit better in NC and the Billfish bite is about the same fir both states but you have to run farther in SC to get to Bluewater/Gulfstream and the primo spots?
OH and the NC boys have a bit more Braggado!

So now for the important question; which state has the hottest and friendliest ladies

Good Info guys thanks, hope it drums up some biz for all boats involved...

Even the NC boys can't deny that Charleston,SC has the most girls and "friendliest" ones around. Down here in Hilton Head where I'm at,there are a lot of fine ladies, but you'd better have a big trust fund or making the big bucks. Wilmington,NC is good too. About the same as Charleston.

    Yeah, that's legal.

I guessed around 350lbs. on the bull shark. I drug it through the tuna door and measured it. I've picked up 200+ lb. sharks with clients for pics and couldn't budge this one.

Ha....in Hilton Head, you can go 6 miles offshore and still be in 6-10 foot of water. Lots of offshore sandbars. Which holds the tarpon and big redfish by the way.

Sounds like the shark fishing is great in SC....You can bring in a load of fish here and the one guy that brings in a nice shark will have more people excited every time... People really like to see and catch those fish. Its just a fish we don't target much here......... Now as far as the women, I'm sure its got to be better in SC cause it ain't much here! Of course I'm happily attached, but I had to go to VA. to snag that one!
