    Jay,

Something to think about. I know it's cost prohibitive, but any "good" training is. If you can get in and can make it through any prospective employer is going to see that you are a "cut above". Just by going the extra mile will show you're serious. Frank

Thanks for the input my friend. I am really weighing my options on this. Blackwater training is by admission only. I may have to initially take some entry level tactical (tactical handgun/carbine) with a less-known outfit to even be able to have Blackwater train me. They seem to be the next step up. There I could specifically take anti-piracy training and possibly seek employment with them.

    Jay,

I've been around some of that "crowd", they don't take run of the mill. They don't need to. If you want it, go for it hard. Yes their standard's and past experience, make it hard for the average"Joe". They ain't about being average. Average get's you killed! Frank

Yeah but isn't that really part of the job? I don't disagree with you. I think a lot of those guys are being handed a raw deal. Women and children...ok...women and children wielding Yugo AK's? Different story. Which is how it is over there.

A lot of those guys are paid the big numbers so Uncle Sam doesn't have to deal with the fallout?

    Hi Jay,

Couple links, one is for the Mass Maritime Academy Job Shopper:

    http://www.maritime.edu/l2.cfm?page=66

One is the Faculty Directory, Tom Bushey as mentioned earlier, is under "B"s:

Both are slanted toward creating jobs for MMA cadets, but you never know...

    Thanks bud!

I actually have been in contact with the director of tactical training facility. We've been talking and if all goes well, in a few weeks i'll be training along side SWAT and PMC agents. I am leaning towards marketing myself as a designated marksman/sniper. We'll see how it goes.

From that point I can begin to explore my options.
