Carbon Fiber Outriggers
Considering outfitting my 24CC with Carbon Fiber outriggers from Lee's Tackle, aside from costs, any pros or cons?

That about says it--- $3k for a pair of 20' poles???. I remember when Penn came out with the internal guides for rods--- ended up being as popular as a Green Machine in a Hatteras Billfish Tournament.
Perhaps consider conventional aluminum and a pair of Spreaders at a considerable savings.

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
I think the fish eat better off aluminum.
Is like eating dinner on a silver platter or a paper plate.
Just messing I would go with Aluminum unless polishing is an issue the go with carbon.

Nappy Haired Tackle Ho
im considering the same thing, the rupps on the grady, as i am told by rupp, cannot handle double lines, but 3k is an awful lot of dough.

Stop staring at my Avatar.
I would have to say .... They are great. Pros supper light no weight on the top, also very easy to put in and out. They are set up for 2 lines. and they have very little flex. cons price and they are hard to re rig main line tru to change.
I have been using them for 4 years now and must say they are nice.

If Ignorance is bliss, Why aren't more people happy?
Carbon fiber is stronger and stiffer pound for pound than aluminum, but if you ding it, they will snap.
If you ding aluminum, you have a better chance of straightening them out...
