Someone have your goat? Seems both sides of the battle can learn a thing or two.

PETA has a wonderful message which we support, CRUELTY to animals. We shall support THIS message across the globe. (anyone here support Michael Vick and his actions?)

As for the extremist in the group who have decided to take action against any & all who dig up an earthworm to catch bluegill, well... every group, regardless, has extremist. This does not mean it's the mission of the organization.

Now, if you fish to only have an opportunity to club a tuna into a bloody pulp on the deck, then you are the problem, as angling for sport has it's respect for the opponent. Treating it with respect throughout the fight, dispatching and cleaning should be in your nature. Nothing wrong with the sport & gathering of the succulent red loins, but depicting the clubbing as something you want to portray in a defense to the extremist makes you an extremist as well.

In this thread, is this the "Don Thaves" everyone keeps talking about?

ahh, S&B, with his box already overflowing has redeployed his spread. Hope he brought plenty of ice

Interesting perspective on the extremists, who can always spot that quality in the other guy but not in himself.

And yes, Don T, although a rookie angler, has boated a few suckerfish himself in recent weeks
