Makes sense to allow it as it is at the stage of illegal alcohol during prohibition: everybody who wanted it had it.

Legalize it and tax it just as beer and tobacco is. California needs the money. When other states see the revenue stream they will jump on board just as they all followed (eventually) New Hampshire when NH restarted lotteries in modern times.

Given it is THE largest cash crop in California, they might as well cash in.

While it wont solve all of Cali's problems, the state could sure use the tax money. Whether it will go to good use or not is another question...

When something is as easy to grow as this, you wont be taxing it. People will just grow it. Ever hear of people growing a garden? Hence, the number one reason they dont want to make it legal. If they cant tax it.......they outlaw it. That is why they resist making it legal. Cigarettes are a different story. No one is going to grow their own tobacco.
But, if you figure out how to make a fine tasting vodka, call me.

Come in from the cold. Do a little observation. I say the guy that smokes pot......drives a messy car, lives in a messy house, doesnt look like he takes a shower every day, needs to shave, has alot of bad habits, and has no intention of buying what he can now legally grow. From what I hear its easy to grow and growing it fits the profile of the pot head.
Ill give you another profile guy. Guy who plays the horses thinking he is going to hit it big. Hey for that matter, let me get my visor and T-shirt on and look like a fisherman. If I walk down the dock carrying an Igloo, tell me, what is inside cooler?

Actually, if this passes, the Obama health care bill and other social reforms should provide health insurance coverage for munchies as it is a proven scientific fact that the need for junk food is a biological side effect of THC.
Therefore, reimbursement for junk food after partaking of ganji is no different that reimbursement for pharmacuticals.
Deny no claims from Taco King and Hostess products with the submission of empty rolling paper packages--- bongs may qualify as well, but the insured must pay postage which will be refunded when the claim is verified.
