Bunker everywhere, Where are the stripers and Blues?

Went fishing on a charter boat yesterday and the Capt. followed the bunker most of the day. They seemed to be everywhere all up and down the NJ coast. We used live bunker and all manner of jigs. We trolled and fished the bottom. I only caught one striper (35" 20#) and no Bluefish. Is the NJ water too warm for these guys already?

Just a matter of finding the right school at the right time. Follow the schools until the bass decide to bite

It seems that the Bass are most active early in the morning and as the sun goes down in the evening. You will see bunker all day along the shore line, but nothing is chasing them.
