Then to make matters better. I had my garage open to get some tools to help neighbor. A silver [ock up pulled up and guy got out. When I stood up he got back in and made quick retreat... Evidently didn't know neighborhood well and I headed off at the pass. He stomped it and got around me... I got the plate before he went faster than I cared to chase...... Might just have my tackle thief...

Interresting... Plate number doesn't match a trick like the one he's driving. They're out looking for it now... Plate probably hot but now they have something to look for... I was thinking to my self doesn't make sense for a bad guy to be driving a way high dollar full dress Tundra but he sure played the part. Now it kinda makes sense. Hot plates on a hot car... All kinds of probable cause now to stop him and shake him down...

The last guy came back... He had clopped not only gear but jewels and credit cards from the house. The credit card called me to say he was trying to use the card at a near by store. The cops and I had just missed him but we got to see him and his girl accomplice clear on the video.
The next day there was the guy... Wearing the same stuff even as the vid showed. I grabbed my samaurai sword and got in front of him. He had a pit bull puppy with him... I kind of blocked his path and approached. He got nervous but didn't run. "Do you know who owns this pup?"
"Nope... Cute pup but it aint from this neighbor hood..."
He was still nervous... "Do you want him..."
"Nah... I have a foul temper and might wind up hurting it real bad..."
Now he was sweatting bullets and I turned up the heat...
"I know you don't I?"
"No sir I don't think so..."
"Sure I do, You got that blond girlfriend with the long pigtails and big tits..."
This unarmed him... "Wow! You know..." Then he spilled her name.
I went along for the ride and soon I had him convinced we were almost old friends... He spilled every detail in the world about her, where he works, his name... He fell right in and it cost him 17 months...

Yes thieves are stupid and the old saying "they always return to the scene of the crime" often holds true... Only one problem is returning to the scene where a hunter/ fisherman has a keen eye for out of the ordinary stuff can end the game real quick...

Yeah the beahvior of the tundra driver indicates to me that I have the rabbit on the run but the damn cops down here move slower than than a time share sales pitch...

Following other cars in... Is the most common. To get out all you do is pull up to gate and it opens... If someone that I don't recognize follows me in I pull over and follow them. I wish others would do that...

Another way is there is a code that is fairly well known that various services use to get in... Hell, even Mini knows that one.

The insidious one that prompted our community to go to bar code instead of old push button was them breaking into cars and stealing the gate opener... Same device also opened garage doors using the button on the other side. Wouldn't open all garages as they have different signals for each but they could just mash the button while driving around and see which ones do open...

A lot of the theft that has taken place in the community though has been the bad guys pulling up to the end of a cul de sac that butts up against a basically deserted street and simply walking in...

Basically the gate is a feel good thing but its in reality a farce... They have a camera up there at the gate and I would love to see how many unauthorized cars just waltz right in... The crime rate in here though is actually down from what it used to be...
