    Smile Breaking Camp

Guest left this morn. I put the hard clean on the girl. Loaded the fish box with crap I had stored on the dock and put some of the rods away. Feels strange actually heading home. Was getting used to the routines I established here. Gonna miss a lot of people here.
Gonna suck crossing the stream alone. Boss was supposed to come today and bring my mate who would have taken the long troll home... Instead I find myself in the pickle of doing the 78 mile slide solo... Done it before... don't like it but doable.
Plan on letting this ugly wind die down some and probably cross on Saturday. If anybody is either over here or can fly over tomorrow they're welcome to ride...
Will be good to sleep in a real bed without chop slapping at the hull next to my head. Looking forward to missus Deep and some home cookin. already feel the cat sittin on my lap and watchin Tv...

Not having done trips like that alone, but I'd say there's a bit of serenity in it, no? Hopefully the peace of it all will allow you to relax and enjoy being alone, in relative quiet.

Did you post many pics of this trip that I may have missed?

Wifi here sucks so very few pics... Threw some up sucky ones up of Canyongear and his marlin then some of the plane wreck a few weeks ago but took forever to upload them. Will load em up when I get home. Guests this week and last did all the pic taking so I need to get copies from them...

Outside chance Canyongear may come back over to take the ride... Must not remember the crippling effects of that blue he got here a few weeks ago.... either that or a sucker for punishment...

    Deep,

I make the run from Boca Raton to Troy, NY and back twice a year. I do it alone most of the time. I like it that way, much simplier. Frank

Going for a quick run is one thing but I was hoping to fish across and fishing this girl alone gets tough. When i pull off the sticks she goes hard into the trough and slides backward. Tough to fight a big fish that way. Helm just too far from pit to make it easy...
I enjoy solitude but if something goes wrong I prefer someone to watch helm when I'm in engine room... I'm 78 miles from help once I clear that cut and that stream runs at four knots the wrong way if I want to turn back...
