I hurt my back yesterday so I watched it on and off today. [ no such thing as back pain, its all in your head] Anyway,
1. Who regulates how a well is drilled?
2. Who is responsible for over seeing and inspecting?
3. Who designs how its done? What size pipe, whatever?
4. Why would anyone in this country when under oath give an answer that could possible be used against them in court?
5. If its not a slush fund, it sure is without precedent.....isnt it?
6. When did any insurance company pay up in this country before courts decided liability?

You gotta feel a little sorry for the little fella from Texas that got his appointment calander mixed up---- the poor guy thought today was the Partisan bickering and pissing contest at capitol hill--- not until it was too late did he realize that today was the Congressonal venting session and BP ass chewing extravaganza.
To make matters worse, he then got not one, but two, separate ass chewings of his own from his own party.
Oh well, its now martini time in Washington, DC and another day of saving our country is behind the dumb ass smuck.

So out of curiosity why is there a double standard for Conflict of Interest?

Apparently Judges are required to recuse themselves when dealing with issues that they have a material interest in...

Corporate Executives are also supposed to be held to a high standard for conflict of interest.

Why the hell does Congress skate on the issue of campaign contributions?

But I heard that he was asked about the funerals of the people working on the rig?? Did he go? Was BP there? Did they hug the widows? Supposedly a woman on the panel was asking the questions.

Did this really happen? If so, what is the relevance of this to ANYTHING? Unbelievable...

Make him seem insensitive. They also asked him if today was thursday, then made it a point to say........the only question he answered was what day it was. If you were under oath in this country what would you do? Keep talking till you incriminate yourself.

I understand why she did it, it's just absurd. Excuse me mam, but please show me the law or regulation on how many hugs, whay kind of hug and who is supposed to provide the hug. Of course, that would be the worst thing he could say because with our gov't, we'd end up with a law for hugs.

I wish he have responded, the question is, if you're on this committee and responsible for oversight of my company, why weren't YOU there and why didn't YOU give the widow a hug?

This brow-beating of executives is assinine. Just like the auto execs getting fussed at for flying their jets. Excuse me Ms Pelosi, WHO PAYS for your JET??
