    The boys have been castrated

Looks like the MIU section has gone the way of the eunich. Not much activity here but a few dust moths. We need a good old fashioned brawl in MIU these days. Mary hasn't put too much fabric softener in MIU I hope.

Albacore season is just around the corner, time to shed some blood and fill the pressure cookers!

She's trying to Ban people and deleate posts over on salterwater sportsman mag forum site. Ha! Thats where everyone is these day. This place is a ghost town. Its a shame this place used to be great. People will say its because its summer time and everyone is fishing. Its not. I thought there was going to be some big news coming? Guess not. I'm sure someone will come on here and say how great the numbers are on this site but I used to come on here everyday for hours. Now I come on here once in a while and theres not much to read or respond to. They even brought Deepy back but he's not the same as he used to be. I liked it the old way but I don't call the shots and I'm sure there's a good reason behind all the changes. Hopefully it will pay off for them.

would love to bring back "Scandal by World Cat and Town Creek Marina"

There are new developments in the works but it would be better if they could be posted with the original thread.

BFB I know it would get over 40k hits but it seems the powers that be want advertisers to see that sfc doesn't let a thread run it's full course.....in other words run to exhaustion. What a shame!

Once a few more events take place I will start another thread.

What's up with such a short list of threads in MIU and other areas? With the traffic down new people won't be able to find interesting reads and will go elsewhere. JMO

    I Will Admitt,

That I have visited and even posted on the other site mentioned here, just to see what it was all about. I am not gonna bash it in any way other than saying, for me I still prefer SFC myself. It could be that it's because I don't do the "inter-net" thing much and am just used to this place. But speaking just for myself, I plan on stickin around. Frank

I still stop in and skim through most days, but not much to see; Used to be such a great site I keep thinking it will be back. If Deep C is back that will be a start, he is entertaining and has some fishing advice and stories.

Yeah I'm back but not so sure about whats left to say... No fun insulting the obvious. Kinda like calling water wet. Kinda disarmed the nay sayers by placing or winning in all the islands events we fished in. Have another place to blabber about family issues so tough to start a fire there. I got it! I'll post a how to tip! That's bound to bring out heated criticism from those who don't fish...

One of our VIPs weighs in about 120 pounds soaking wet. Loves the game but doesn't have the brawn to work with the real heavy gear. Some if not most of the tournies we fish are specific about IGFA rules and no assistance may be rendered to get the rod from holder to chair...
So... How can we help this fellow out getting that rod from holder to chair with a jumbo blue marlin headed to the horizon without touching a thing?

Painfully simple answer... Make the outfit "lighter" than it was... Yeah... I knew that would confuse you. An 80w tiagra and 7 foot bent butt stick weighs what it weighs... but... its not its dead weight thats the issue. Its the blue one headed to a different area code against all that drag that is... Answer is simple enough... Back off the drag...
Now the tip... In order to make sure that we don't back the drag down to backlash levels, we instead take the time to find what he is comfortable lifting against, then mark that spot along the levers path with a piece of brightly colored tape... For multiple anglers that may use the same stick. Different colored tape. Once they get to the chair and buckle in the harness the drag goes back up where it belongs...
So there... a Deep tip. So inane and plain that its bound to start a ruckus and have the mods all poised with their locks and ban buttons...
