Bomb threat closes Lund Boats in New York Mills on Tuesday
The Lund-Crestline factory in New York Mills was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a bomb threat was reported.

The Lund-Crestline factory in New York Mills was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a bomb threat was reported.


At 1:27 p.m., a 911 call was placed and a male caller said “There is a bomb in the factory,” and hung up, according to NY Mills Police Chief Jim Van Schaick.


Police are in the process of tracking the call.


Brunswick Corporation, which owns and operates the factory, evacuated all employees shortly after the call, according to Van Schaick.


Streets have been blocked off and school buses were rerouted, according to Van Schaick.


A team with a bomb-sniffing dog was in the process of checking the entire facility at 4 p.m. Tuesday.


“Everything is being checked,” Van Schaick said.


The chief said it would take several hours to check the facility, but once completed and if nothing is found, employees could return to work.


The NY Mills Police Department, State Patrol, Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office and NY Mills Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene

I met a guy this last week, who is a business associate of Andrew Brown's, and he told me what I already knew that "all you have to do is talk to Andrew Brown for 2 minutes and you realize he doesn't know anything about boats". I always suspected Brown was nothing more than a pencil pusher, and it is actually Phyllis who not only wears the pants, but runs the show b/c Brown can't. IMO

Bomb threats are very serious. I would rather hit people where it makes a difference................in the wallet. That makes more sense to me than a bomb threat.

If you were capable of reading above a third grade public school level you would see that the comment made by one of Brown's business associates was made recently as in last week, loooooooong AFTER my boat has been hauled off by my insurance, not before I bought the boat you cretin! Not really sure how with your inability to focus you were able to find your way back to sf.com, but congrats on this great accomplishment.

I have dealt with some fairly ignorant, and rather mentally challenged people involved in this boat deal, but my friend you take the Gold medal. As for WC and Andrew Brown, they are driving toward their own demise brought about by greed and lying boat sales staff.

Try and keep up with the rest of the class before you speak up and make yourself look more foolish
