Bodies of Missing Boaters Found

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The bodies of two boaters who were reported overdue yesterday were recovered early this afternoon.
Coast Guard helicopter crews from Air Stations Elizabeth City, N.C., and Atlantic City, N.J., along with the Virginia Marine Resource Commission, the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, the York County Sheriff's Department and the Poquoson Police and Fire Departments searched throughout the night after receiving a report from a family member of the two that their 17-foot skiff had been found capsized in the mouth of the Poquoson River early yesterday evening.
Both bodies were recovered by the Virginia Marine Resource Commission earlier today.
The Coast Guard sends its thoughts to the victim's families during this difficult time.

Theres never a good time to hear that fishermen have passed. I am happy that the families get to close the chapter and that their loved ones were recovered. Our prayers are sent to the families and friends of the two fishermen.

I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all involved in the recovery operation.

That sucks... Happening all to often... About that tiime of year here for Jupiter inlet to start swallowing people... It does several times a year...

Man that is really bad. I am glad they found the bodies though to give some closure to the families. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
