Well thought out comments by everyone. I was going to trade my 28 Henriques but Joe didn't want to take a trade for a 31 capehorn. I am know the proud owner of a 29 regulator from COMSTOCK. Sal, help close the deal.
Joe, this post doesn't represent well for you.
    Having second thoughts.
Sal, is a good guy and a good friend. He purchased the boat that was best for him, Cape couldn't meet his needs. Get over it.
I wish Sal and the Hooligan fleet great success. I am actually considering fishing the BIG ROCK with him if I can get off from work. HE will get on the fish and get on the board.
    GO GET EM HOOLIGAN.

Boat sales do suck now and I don't blame him for not wanting to take a trade. Not to be a jerk here but this is coming from someone who worked for a boat dealership for a while. Some dealers have enough wiggle room written into their sale price to give them money to deal with trades. Think of it like this, if you were going to sell your house for $200,000 but still owe $150,000 on it. A possible buyer says I'll take your house for $200K but you must take my fixer-upper home worth $50,000 on trade to seal the deal. Now you could sell your house to that guy, but in order to get your profit out of the deal you now have to sell his fixer-upper house. Now you have to advertise this new home and pay all the fees that go along with the fixer-upper sale plus ask more for it to make the same amount of money if you just would have waited for someone to give you $200K for the original deal.

In the boat business it goes like this. Dealer still has to pay the salesman on the original deal and now pay another salesman to sell the used vessel. Plus the dealer would have to sit on that boat and hope someone who is looking for that exact boat comes along. Mean while that money is sitting on his floor plan and he still has to order a new dealer stock boat to replace the one he sold to you but has not made his money on yet. Before you jump on a dealer for standing his ground look at it from his point of view. Sometimes a sale is really not a SALE at all.

    Reel,
I understand how it works. But you can't come on hear and tell everyone that boat sales suck, unless you have exhausted all avenues to sell your inventory. Trades are part of the business. People who have boats buy boats. That is the biggest market of buyers. So you need to be a little flexible. Comstock was very easy to deal with, we worked out a deal. My 28 Henriques was a very clean boat and sold in two weeks. They are closing on that boat this week. Sometimes you need to think outside box and be more aggressive.
That is all I am saying.
I met Joe and he seemed like a very nice guy. I was taken back by his cheap shots at someone who is taking a risk and think outside the norm. Whether it was meant as a joke or not it was out of line.
I am by no means a sensitive individual. But, I stick behind friends when I need to.

    I think I'm a classic Narcissistic " SICKO " Person ?????

    Signs and Symptoms
Narcissistic personality disorder symptoms may include:

Believing that you're better than others - maybe ?
Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness - Yes
Exaggerating your achievements or talents- I'm a Car/Boat Guy !
Expecting constant praise and admiration - ???????
Believing that you're special- Oh ,Yeah !
Failing to recognize other people's emotions and feelings - True
Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans - YES
Taking advantage of others -on a Rare occasion!
Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior - Not really ?????
Being jealous of others - "NO "-
Believing that others are jealous of you- Yes
Trouble keeping healthy relationships - Yes
    Setting unrealistic goals - maybe
Being easily hurt and rejected - Not at All !!!!:D
    Having a fragile self-esteem- YES
Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional - YES
Although some features of narcissistic personality disorder may seem like having confidence or strong self-esteem, it's not the same. Narcissistic personality disorder crosses the border of healthy confidence and self-esteem into thinking so highly of yourself that you put yourself on a pedestal. In contrast, people who have healthy confidence and self-esteem don't value themselves more than they value others.

When you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across as conceited, boastful or pretentious. ( that is me ) You often monopolize conversations. - No! You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior.Maybe !:D You may have a sense of entitlement. Yes And when you don't receive the special treatment to which you feel entitled, you may become very impatient or angry. Yep ! You may also seek out others you think have the same special talents, power and qualities — people you see as equals. maybe ! You may insist on having "the best" of everything — NO ! the best car,- Not really !:D athletic club- NO!, medical care or social circles, for instance. YEs , YES !!!!!!!!!!!:D

But underneath all this grandiosity often lies a very fragile self-esteem. You have trouble handling anything that may be perceived as criticism. You may have a sense of secret shame and humiliation. And in order to make yourself feel better, you may react with rage or contempt and efforts to belittle the other person to make yourself appear better. Now doesn't that sound like me ??????????? , If you all remember i came from the " Dark Side " !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cardinal Joe
