The are a well built boat and I spent a little time on one at the miami show last year. i cant remember now but at the time there were a few things about the boat that i did not like. I think that in that cc size range there are some other boats to consider before the bluewater...IMO.
suzukis, I only hear good things. Im a YAMAHA man
Ive been told the BLUEWATER hull is similiar to the early SEAVEE's. So it should have a great ride.
As far as SUZUKIS go, I had 140's on my Sea Vee and I loved them. Not to mention they were considerably cheaper than the Yammys. I have several friends on the outer banks that use them commercially and they have thousands of hours on them. Id buy Sukis again!![]()
My buddy has a 28 and the ride is great and very solid. The cockpit is huge for a 28 with plenty of ammenities and room. Fishboxes are a really good size and there is lots of storage throughout the boat. He has the Suzukis on his and they are great. The props do cavitate pretty bad in rough water. He has had the props reworked and they are better but still cavitate. I don't know if he needs longer shaft motors or not. The wiring is ok but its not the quality of Yellowfin or Contender. He has 2 spots in the floor where the gelcoat has popped off. I think his boat is a 04 model with about 700 hrs on it.
You have a PM.
The 35 Bluewater is an awesome boat in many ways . We build the Aluminum towers and Hardtop framework etc for these boats and they are extremely well built and a class above the tried and true 28 Bluewater . Call Paul at Bluewater and have him e mail you some photos etc . Here is a pic of the hardtop .

I CAN ONLY SPEAK OF THE SUZUKI 140'S....I HAVE A PAIR ON THE 23 GRADY GULFSTREAM.....ON CALM DAYS,I CAN RUN 29-31 KT AT 5,000 RPM AND ON A AVERAGE DAY OFFSHORE, BURN 90-100 GAL A DAY
THE ZUKES ARE NOW 4 YRS OLD STILL WITH LOW HRS...AND I HAVE EXPERIENCED ZERO PROBLEMS. THEY ARE MAINTANED ONCE A YEAR BY MY MECHANIC AT FT MACON MARINA
AND THEY HAD BEEN SITTING SINCE NOV 3RD WHEN I SPLASHED HER LAST THURSDAY IN COLD WEATHER....SHE FIRED RIGHT UP WITH A SINGLE TURN OF THE KEY ON ONE SIDE AND I HAD TO MAKE A SECOND TURN OF THE KEY ON THE OTHER SIDE
THAT AIN'T TOO SHABBY IN MY WORLD
GOOD LUCK WITH THE NEW RIG
HEY MAN! Great Tower!
Buddy of mine has had 2 Bluewaters a 23 and a 25 which were both great boats. The 35 looks great and I have no doubt it will hang with most of the boats in its class
Paul here from BW Boats. The 35 is a new design which we did in house. It is a NEW hull design and has proven to be dry and soft in a rough sea. The construction features a one piece laminated stringer grid which incorporates the fish boxes and fuel tank bays so everything is water tight and secure. The fish boxes have great insulation and there is more under deck storage than any other 35 boat in the market. We have built in storage underdeck for 17 rods, built in bucket storage for cast nets and side tackle boxes that can be built to suit the needs of the owners. The aft cockpit is hugh and there is a transom live well as well as a floor well providing over 150 gallons of bait capacity.
We have had great luck with the Suzuki motors. We find they produce great power and economy. As power is subjective, we provide the option for the owners to choose the outboards they want. We'll have a 35 in the water in Miami for demo rides. Hope to see you there....
