I'm writing a book (fiction) and need some expert advice.
What's the farthest north anyone has caught a Blue Marlin in the Atlantic?
I understand the conventional wisdom is that you will rarely see blues north of 45 degrees.
But I read that a blue washed up on the beach in Wales (UK), around 51 degrees. It appeared to be lost and starving, although still weighed in around 450 lbs. They speculate that it was following mackerel that are in the area at that time, and also that it was attacked by dolphins, leading to its untimely demise far from home.
