This is quoted from another board:"I took the following photo moments after a sailboat crashed into the Indian River Bridge at sundown last evening. The sailboat came into the inlet on a strong incoming tide and approached the bridge in the center of the inlet. It was real obvious that its masts were substantially higher than the bridge clearance. The masts struck the bridge forcing the boat itself to wedge under the bridge and nearly sink right then and there. Fortunately (if that is the right word) after a terrible wrenching of metal against metal the masts snapped off and the boat drifted helpless under the bridge. The picture was taken from the South side just west of the bridge looking Northwest toward the Coast Guard Station. The sailboat is in the foreground and it's downed masts lying across the boat are visible.lWow!
