    I Guess This Mean's,

All is right with the world ????? I choose to live my live as well and honestly as possible. There really is nothing I can do about what happen's in DC. It matter's not what "party" is in, it's all about them. We just provide the mean's for them to go about their business of screwing thing's up for us. The problem that they haven't realized yet is, that there are getting to be fewer and fewer us that actually pay into the system(taxes), rather than just recieve from the system. Let it go LF, start living your life, you'll be glad you did. Frank

Not knowing anything....but what was the timing of Bush's raising over the course of his 8 years....might be a factor/comparison if Bush got off to a slow start doing it like Obamas 2-3 times in his first term....but made up for lost time in the last term....I'd assume if Bush did it 7 times in his first term, he wouldn't have got re-elected....perhaps the same for Obama......fill me in.....

From that you can work out where in GW's administration the increases happened.

    Oh, Frank, Dear Frank.

Must I realign your thinking all the time, dear friend.

The point of the post is obvious to most, there's no objections to raising debt ceilings from the Republicans in the Senate when their party controls the Whilte House. There are when that's not true.

That's spelled hypocrasy. But the Republicans are certainly not the only ones practicing the lowly art of hypocracy. They're just doing it now on a topical subject.

It's a pretty simple truth that, if considered, would help bring balance to the discussion of the debt ceiling.

But I very much agree with your first response to this thread as well as Marine's too.

    I'd like to see...

...no rise in the debt ceiling at all. And, I'd like to see that happen with an austerity program which took a bite out of everyone, rich, middle and poor.

I'd like to see it because as chaotic as it might be in the aftermath, I think a long-needed societal restructuring would result which would bring many of our freedoms back. But I'll admit that's a huge gamble. We could just as easily end up with a police state, errr, more of a police state.

But I'm not going to pin all today's problems on Obama or the dims. Because it misses the point that Frank elequently made...they're all guilty as sin for raping the country.

So, let's not buy into that B.S. that it's all the dims fault. The Repugs have a heavy hand in all of this too...just like Frank said. Let's direct our ire at the lot of them.
