    Big Changes to My Lair

In addition to the usual nesting going on here, we decided back in the fall to do some major renovations.

We closed in a screen porch, knocked out the wall in between creating bigger living room and foyer, new front porch and new screened back porch.

We are just about to wrap things up, Just in time too, the Babies are very near arrival!

Thought you all might like to see some of the results.

This is the tile in the new Foyer:

Now when the Natalie calls me offshore and tells me the wind just started blowin hard, she can also tell me what direction!

The Tile Girl, Kat Campbell did the tile. her phone 252-327-8694 very resonable.

My main man with the hammer (and nearly every other tool immaginable) is none other than Captain Eric Holmes of the Boss Lady:

Eric is truely a Jack of all trades, and a great carpenter, engineer, etc.

If we are booked, consider giving Eric on the Boss Lady a try for you offshore trip.

    Watching it rain sideways.

That is nice, I am working on one similar and made sure to orient it N and S even though it is not square to the room. Good Stuff!!

    Magnetic or true north

I debated weather to orient to true north or mag.

Went with magnetic, just slightly off from square with the room.

I bought a small orienteering compass for the tile girl.

    She was right on.

You've got to point it in the right direction.

I hope my house does not move.
