I watched it again. You are right the car was rolling. However, it looked like the guys head was slumped against the side window and he was out from the impact with the cruiser. Did the cruiser ram the car or vice versa? I agree the cops have every right to use deadly force to stop deadly force. I just can't tell what was happening with absolute certainty in this case. It is a tough job and I appreciate the Thin blue Line that protects us from the dirt bags. Believe me I am not losing sleep over one less scumbag.

Old Glory, Im not trying to say your wrong or argue with you. God knows if I wanted to argue Id be on that other site I was just pointing out what I saw and I watched the video a couple times. All I can say is if I was on that hood and that car was moving, Id be squeezing the trigger for all Im worth. The driver of that car had a complete and utter disregard for anyone and everyone while he was running like that.

I agree, just one more piss ant off the streets that law enforcement will not have to chase down after he jacks ar car or sells crack to someones kid. He knew he was being chased and had every oppuortunity to stop and justice was served! We have two cases locally in the last month where some idiot was running from the police and hit someone head on. One, it killed two sisters and the youngest was only 11 years old, the other was 17 years old just a few days before Christmas. This needs to make national TV, maybe it would deter some idiot from trying it somewhere else.

Ya know the problem...is that if the driver did not STEAL the car in the first place, there would not have been a car chase. If the driver would have just stopped when the cop put his lights on, and not tried to run, the chase would not have happend. If the driver did not try to get away after the cop struck the car with his cruiser, and gave up...he would not be shot. The thing that I really do not understand is that why is it the cops fault that someone doesn't stop when they are asked to......remember its not a chase or a pursuit if the driver just stops the car. We tend to look at why didn't the cop just stop chasing the car...How about Why didn't the guy just pull over......it takes someone's actions for a re-action...

Well, you know where I am coming from on this......

I think Joe Horn should be elected mayor of Pasadena Texas. America has too many people in prison. This helps the problem. And it prevents crime.

Don't we all want to alleviate prison crowding, get dangerous criminals off the streets, and prevent crime? Seems to me all these issues were addressed to my satisfaction in that video.

hypathetical. an off duty cop is in a bank. bank gets held up by the guy inline infront of him.
from my understanding, the cop must announce hes a cop and that the perp must stop, lay down weapon, whatever....

now same situation only its a fed officer (FBI) and hes doin a little banking...
i have heard, that by way of their force continuum policy, he could basically walk up and make a contact shot on the guy.

this true? if it is, that is BADASS
anyone?

I am all in favor of one

less scumbag on the streets, but if i am that cop's spvsr, i am pulling his badge & gun & putting him on paid leave or desk duty pending full investigation.

that video does NOT help that officer. if i am the state's atty or the fed US Atty, i see 50-50% chance of that cop getting indicted for murder. at a minimum, he is gonna get sued civilly and lose everything he owns.

that video documents some bad moves by that cop. he went overboard in my opinion, based solely on that video.
