Im looking to move to FLA soon. Im looking for, in YOUR opinion, the nicest area. Take into consideration good school system, temps and fishing, and looking for an area on the water.

Good Schools and Florida in the same sentence really doesn't exist. Here in Palm Beach County the schools have magnet programs though from mid school on that are pretty good if your kid has enough aptitude or at least the right aptitude to get in em.
West Florida is still in deep depression. Noth of Palm Beaches is same story. South of Palm Beaches you start getting deep into latin coulture where english is second language... Farther north say from Melbourne up much is dependent on the space center and thats on shaky ground. Above that the runs are way long to serious water and the weather is pretty cold in winter... Keys to north Palm has best climate...
Florida as a whole though is tough to make a living. Wages here are way low. Price you pay for living in paradise...
How good is your Spanish?
Sanibel area! Particularly St. James City on Pine Island. Real estate is mostly direct access to the Gulf and CHEAP!. The area has some of the best boating and fishing I have found. It's a fun boat ride to Key West and a 3 hr. car ride to WPB. Good luck...I won't be far behind!![]()
This must be a trick question.

Stuart, most people are still dead bait trolling and the blind old retired people with run you off the road like in Palm Beach. I live in Palm Beach Gardens and Hate it.
tiny little drinking town with a fishing problem.
If you are looking for a great fishing area the Stuart/Jensen Beach area is hard to beat. World Class fishing inshore and offshore.
BTW I hear the E. side of the Gulf Stream off of the Treasure Coast is on fire with big yellowfins right now!

With Lowtides pimpin business money should be no problem.
I'm in St. Pete and it's pretty nice. Fishing's good almost year round for everything except the bluewater pelagics--they're here but be prepared for a looooonng run offshore, generally 80-100 miles for consistent blue marlin/yellowfin tuna/wahoo. I just save my money and fish for bills in Central America or the Caribbean instead.
Most everyone here focuses on grouper, snapper, tarpon, kings, cobia, etc. Plus there's great inshore fishing for snook, trout, reds and everything else if you're into that.
No kids so I can't say much for the schools but lots of waterfront/canalfront homes can be had for good prices right now. I'd definitely pick St. Petersburg over Tampa if I had a choice just based on the traffic issues. You get a smaller-town feel here but you still have access to pro sports (Bucs football, Rays baseball and Lightning hockey) all very close, plus good museums and cultural stuff too--we just had a Cajun crawfish festival downtown a couple weeks ago that was a lot of fun. Weather's pretty good year-round, there's a nice international airport in Tampa for easy travel.
Hope this helps!
