Sorry to hear about that. Get well soon, you can still drive! Freind of mine just went through the same thing. took almost 4 months to get back up to speed. he is now 100% and says the surgery was worth it.

Hey Pitch, In 2002 I was out blue fining..rough as can be..reaching out pulling in the outrigger.. and my feet slipped out from under the gunnel.....I fell and my left elbow hit hard on the gunnel. It hurt real bad and stayed real sore for about two months. Finally after a MRI...I think....it showed I had a torn rotator cuff. For me it was very painfull for the first week. I couldn't sleep laying down...for the first three days. I called a friend that had the same operation and told him I could not get to sleep....and he told me that I needed to sleep upright in a recliner. I went out that same nite with my wife and bought a recliner.

The doctor had failed to tell me to sleep upright...after that I had about 30 trips to the therapist. After about a year it was back to almost 100%.

Some people I have talked with say they didn't have a lot of pain.....some did. I stayed doped-up for about a week and took a pill right before each therapy session.

    Good luck,
    Jim
