Funny thing, Bearhunter..in country's that use the "eye for an eye" style of justice..crime is 1/10 of what it is in the USA.
too many criminals know how to play the system..and liberal judges allow pedophiles/rapists/murderers to walk free every day..for that scumbag..i would've bought the bullets.

Our capital punishment system is flawed. Criminals will sit on the row for 25+ years with appeals. Costing taxpayer money basically living out their lives dying a quicker more humane death than most other people.

I believe in it...when it's done the right way.

Final appeal 365 days after sentencing with a finite yes/no and then you take the "walk". If I had it my way...

I believe when there is no doubt and they're guilty for sure....immediate death penalty within 6 months. If it's a long trial and there's a lot of questions, life without parole. If you commit murder, rape of a child, etc. you should be put to death in my opinion. However, there's so many death penalties overturned due to lack of evidence and sometimes the truth finally comes out. If there's any doubt, life. If you're 100% guilty....fry em'.

Ditto to everything that's been said, problem is people lie for a variety of reasons, none of us would want some poor ******* that didn't have the right defense, and was innocent, to be executed...every once in a while you hear about some guy getting exonerated by newer technology after being in prison for 10 years....would be a shame to have nixed him.....
