Bayrunner Rods is the HEAT!!!

Took delivery on a rod for my daughter today. I had posted a report about my daughter catching more fish than I did. Bay Runner Rods contacted me about making her a custom rod and we worked out an arrangement. Well the final product came today. 6'6 medium heavy rod with cork grips. aqua and silver wraps. It is a great rod. Joe, I know my daughter didn't seem that excited when you were at the house but, beleive me after you left all she could talk about was going and buying a reel, and when are we going fishing so I can use the rod. After dinner we went to Bass Pro to get a reel. I wanted to buy a 2500 Stradic but the wife said no! Then I went for the 3000 Spheros, again the wife said no I finally gave up and told my daughter to just go pick a reel. She choose a 4000 symmetre and the wife said you guessed it. NO! She then picked a Diawa regal 3500. Wife said okay for that one. Get some line and off to the check out line. Asked the wife why we couldn't get the other reels and she said they just cost to much. I told my Daughter we should have left her at home. Well we get home and my daughter says I want it on the wall in my bedroom. I asked why. She said that way I know where it is and you won't be able to sneak it out when I'm not with you!. It is a very nice rod. BayRunner did a great job, I like it so much I might get him to make me one just like it! THanks again for making a young angler's day! Below is the rod hanging on the wall.

The kids are the future and I got a chuckle out of the article about Emily outfishing you. It deserved a reward. Then she also earned the Jr Angler citation...she had a good summer. Glad she likes the rod and rigged it with a new reel so quickly. Good luck to her with it...keep your hands off it. Nice meeting you yesterday. Joe
