Bamboo boat thread...
I am cutting bamboo this weekend for a boat I have in mind to float a log clogged river I hunt on for woodies. I think I can make one light enough to pick up over the many logs blocking the river/creek. I can also use it to grapple and set trot lines. Anyone have bamboo boat building experience? I have cured and used it for gaffs for 10 years but never for a boat. I started off and will continue to think small at least for the first go but I have the first inklings of ideas involving wooden boats and Louisiana swordfish. I will post the progress here if anyone is interested or hopefully has feedback.

I'm starting to get real serious about this...
I have an unlimited supply of big bamboo and I am thinking of a scale model. I will use the scale model as a life raft becauser Steves wife said he could'nt be involved without one. She doesn't get my particular brand of genius
Bamboo, baling wire, expanding foam, and fiberglass matt and resin + a 1" steel plate cut for twins. I am thinking 150's could push a 30'er.
