Bait Choice in the Back

Can anyone suggest what bait to start out with this Sring in the back bay for Striped Bass. I've heard Blood Worms would be good. Never used them. I'd appreaciate any help, thanks.

blood worms are one of the best baits... up in new jersey gravel point down in mystic islands is normally one of the first places you will see a keeper caught.

along with the outflow for the nuclear power plant in forked river/ocean county nj where they do use a lot of blood worms and also clams.

another good thing to use would be clams.. get a half a bushel of clams and crack some and send them to the bottom while anchored up around some sod banks and such.. send out your baits and hang on!!
