Todays charter ended early with a fair catch and some moderate rain. So with time on my hand I went down to do some wqork on the little boat. I carried with me a battery jumper, tools, a buffer, and other odds and ends in a big card board box... I do this frequently...
The rain started comming down so I moved the box under cover about thirty feet away. When the rain quit I went to get the box and it was gone!!!
Dock master said ... Oh yeah I saw some guy take it...
"Does the guy work there? Does he belong to a boat docked there? Does he have any business being there? "The answer was no to all the questions. Some drifter... Now my next question turned up the heat... " They why the **** do you let the ***** ********** ******* **** hang around the marina... I kill stuff for a living and if you don't find this guy and get it right I will hang you for bait... "
How bad is it out tehre that some one risks being killed over something that stupid as a box of junk worth maybe a hundred bucks??? I can't identify with that nonsense...
It's a sad state of affairs that a guy would walk off with that stuff, but even sadder that someone who knows he doesn't have business being there would watch him walk off with a box of stuff is even sadder. I hope things get set to right for you.
Dock boss knows him by sight... I laid it on him to find the guy and get the stuff or i'll take my frustration out on him for letting the dirt bag hang around. The place really sucks over there. I know to keep stuff close at hand. Daily rip offs there... Most guys know how ugly I get about this kind of stuff and generally give my stuff a wide berth. Dock boss knows this too, way suprised that dolt let him do it cause his neck is now the one on the line with me... He's got About 20 hours to come right or its him I'll open up on... No matter how much or little it is isn't the point. Its mine...
I just don't get it... This dock boss knows I have a short fuse and a long reach... Dropped his guard thinking it was someone elses? Now hes the one that needs to worry... I have no doubt he knows how much of a mistake he made. As my mouth was foamin pretty good when I "talked" to him there can be no doubt as to where I stand... He's forever letting the brothers wander around but usually keeps em in check... Clock is tickin...
I don't know if i'm madder at the bad guys or myself. It was only 30 feet away. I'm usually way sharp on that kind of stuff. I'm embarrassed that I didn't catch and fillet the guy myself right then. Those that know me, know that if something bad happens around me I react quick and decisive. Like that kid emailing nasty stuff about what he was going to do to Mini. With the help of a few we had that little punk cornered and dunked in brine within a day...
My dock guy could see that he is going to have hell to pay if he doesn't get it fixed...
