Back from Trout fishing

Just got back from 6 days of Trout fishing in the interior of the province. Here's a bunch of pics from the trip.

Yeah...kinda chilly......down around freezing overnight, and had a bit of snow and a brief hail storm one evening. The lake will likely be iced over by the end of the month.

WHATS THE STORY WITH THE BIRD?

They are called Whiskey Jacks, and they are not shy of people what so ever. They arrive as soon as we set up camp looking for handouts. I have herd that long ago people would put a piece of bread in a pie pan soaked with whiskey,and they would eat it, and get drunk and fly into trees and what not. I believe this is where they got their name. I took some video as well, but had trouble uploading it to the site.

Yes, It's a real nice place. The property is owned by the Highland Valley Copper Mine, but there is public access to the lake. It is flyfish only, barbless, and catch & release only, so it's a great fishery, with many trophy rainbows.
