    Back Pain

I have been experiencing quit a bit of back pain in the past 2 weeks. I went and had X-Rays done yesterday and I have a slipped disk in my back. The slipped disk is hitting my left siatic (sp?) nerve so my left leg hurts like hell and is tingly all of the time. I have a steroid shot and a MRI scheduled for this afternoon/evening.

Just wondering if anyone else went through anything like this before and what your experiences are.

I have been through it. I lived with that for 20 years until I did something stupid and ruptured it one day.

been going thru it for the past 4-5 years and it flares up and gets better sometimes..

forget the steroid shot bro!!! go with the drx3000... that thing that stretches out your spine!!

the shit works wonders and you will be amazed on how much better you feel!!

I injured my back a year ago Christmas Eve and I am still struggling with it. The trick to recovering is to try to remain active without overdoing it because it is so easy to reinjure yourself. I reinjured it in February when we moved and again in September when we were dealing with the hurricanes.

I had a similar injury when I was 18. Being in reasonably good shape it took me about six months to recover. I had some help from a physical therapist which I highly recommend. You'll get good stretching exercises that will help ease the pain in the short term and also target muscles that you need to strengthen in the long run.

So I am doing those exercises. I see a chiropractor periodically who puts me in traction and does manual trigger point therapy. I also started acupunture a few weeks ago and it seems to be helping me alot...!!!

basically the same thing yes.. i find that the drx is a little more high tech if that even matters..

but the spinal decompression for that is unbelievable and remains the number one alternate to drugs and steroids..

i dont think i would take the steroids or under go surgery without have atleast tried this out and see how it works for ya fighting!!

you can just google the drx 9000... not the 3000 it is a drx 9000..

it will give you all the info and literature and i think you can even find a chriopractor which can tell you all about it and they can set you up on a schedule.

just be advised that this will have to be done like 5 days a week so be prepared to be at the chiropractor alot!!

Try reading the book "Mind Over Back Pain" by Dr. John Sarno first....Many back problems are caused by stress and are mind releated. Unless you did something or had an accident to cause your slip disc, it may just be stress related. I went through all the MRI's and Physical Therapy about 5 years ago was told I needed surgery....I read 2 of his books about the cause of back pain and it went away....may not work for everyone, but a $20 book is well worth it if it works before you decide on surgery....The back and the spine are the strongest part of the body, if you don't remember doing anything to injure your back then it may just be stress related.
Many doctors will not tell you this, because it's all about the money.
