Attn: NASCAR Fans
As you may know I think it sucks how NASCAR has let Toyota buy into the NEXTEL Cup. For anyone one else that feels the same way here is a good web site to visit.

My first response is, "Afraid of a little competition?". But if you've been following Nascar for a few decades you realize what the big three have done and invested into Nascar. To allow Toyota to come in at this point is a bit of a slap in the face in my opinion. Nascar is burning alot of bridges to gain nationwide popularity. When it falls back to where it belongs the hardcore fanbase will have moved on. I hardly even pay attention anymore and I was hardcore for alot of years.

What alot of people do not know is that Toyota builds all the chases and engine's for the Nextel Cup and Truck Series. There engine and fab shops have the best of the best in man power and equipment. You know how the saying goes. The one with the most money wins.

Toyota builds the Chevy and Ford motors? Are you serious?

Sit down Shut up And fish
LOL He meant Toyota builds all the TOYOTA chasis & engines.
"Maybe" the fact that Toyota is a company dedicated to motorsport greatness will bring our own national brands around a little. The pressure will be on for sure.

But do they diserve the exposure of a national stage that the big 3 have pretty much built for themselves?

Well it's too late now to stop them but at least we will be able to enjoy watching them struggle, at least at first. Has anybody paid any attention to their driver lineup? Even if their cars and motors are built right, they still won't stand much of a chance at consistency. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I can't say I like it, but if American sponsors are willing to pony up the $20M a year to sponsor them,NASCAR is going to say sure. On a related subject, I couldn't believe that the cover of Sport Fishing Magazine had a pictutre of Team Chevy with a big Chevy logo on the boat and 3 Yamahas on the back!
