Yesterays trip to test lures were place on the back burner as I had a number of conference calls with NMFS and was looking after Mini who wasn't feeling well. Todays chores involved slinging lures and skirts to various shops and more looking after Mini.
Finally I had a window to go down and at least check on my boat which is sitting in the water waiting to do some testing...
I showed up at the marina and I don't think it took me 2 seconds to find what was wrong with the picture.
My rigger was pretzled down half way to the bow!!!!I have had other rigger incidents involving forklifts there but this bend was way different. On the other bendings someone called me with the news and ratted out the culprot. Not this time. Of course nobody saw a thing. The yard crew says it was like that this morning. There is a night watchman there who reported nothing? Looks like its a topsider ennima comming up for him!

WHat I don't get is I went to inspect and fix the dammage and could not figure what the hell happened. No marks on the rigger to indicate where something might have snagged it. No tell tale kinks in the rigger lines that would indicate that they got hung on something....
I'm guessing some one hung it on the way out of the slip as it was pointed away from the marina. But there is another question... The boats in my marina are short. I'm the tallest around with my tower and 24' lees. The bend was centered high in the rigging... So I'm even more baffled... Anyone had a mystery like this?
The rigger looked like hell but a vise and some muscle soon had it straight... Kinda...![]()
