I was considering using a digital fax service such as this one

Has anyone used them before? Or any other companies like?
Thoughts??
Thanks in advance!

Back in the day....there was software you could install on your computer and use your modem as a fax machine. The files generated were usually TIF's or JPG's....long before the day when PDF's have become so popular.
Never heard of this service though. What's the advantage of this service over just taking a hard copy fax and scanning into a PDF file on your computer or simply attachments to e-mail??
When I was on the road I used a service like that ( I forget the name)
It worked fine, they send you an email when you get a fax.
I think I was paying something like $30.00 per month. This was a couple of years ago.
Now that I look at the link again. That was the Co. that I used. I had no problems

I always used office or publisher templates in a fax format. Drop in an email then send.
I have been using Maxemail for quite a few years. It is awesome and cheap. turns all my incoming faxes into a pdf and puts them directly into my email. Also my employess are all remote. No one works in my office except me. So we can all share the faxes without having to fax them to eachother.

Check out "myfax.com". I have used it for a couple of years now. It costs ten dollars a month. They give you an 800 number to use as your fax. Anybody can fax you for free in the US. You can add email addresses so that the fax goes to multiple recipients if you set it up that way. I pay extra for a second "non toll free" number. That way I can receive faxes from outside the US.
It is very convenient. Your faxes come to your email. You send a fax the same way. Check 'em out.
That is the biggest problem that I have in the office, its not that they get lost people pick them up and bring them into someone else's office and set them down. Hours later after I called still no fax and then I have to call them again to resend.
Its just eliminates a lot of hassle, and allows me to get my faxes where ever I travel.
The one service that I listed above looked really good for corp with multi lines price wise and home service was like 17 month
The "myfax.com" service does not depend on the recipient having email. When you send a fax by email it goes to standard machines or anything else you have set up to receive your faxes.
So, it will work whether the recipient uses email or a fax machine to receive faxes.
I used to use e-fax. It was great all my faxes go directly to my laptop for my review

It was like $17 dollars per month I believe
