NOT TRYING TO GO AGAINST THE GRAIN HERE.....BUT I'M A FANATIC......
60 AFTERNOONS A YEAR
IF NO ONE HUNTS ...I'LL GO AWAY WITH THIS
Not really into deer hunting ,but I think you should be able to kill them with fully auto machine guns, and you should be able to kill 6 a day, the last one I killed was with a 2002 chevy and it cost me 2g`s.KILL THEM ALL
What else is there to do but fish& hunt.I do alot of hunting in MD.You can't beat the hunting in Md.The deer are big there. They put the deer to shame in Pa. I hunt on a farm in Md. and they do not let you kill any thing under 8points.or out side the ears.So you can not just shoot when you see bone!!And every one has to shoot 2 doe befor you get a buck.
This is no crap!!! My buddy that I have worked with for years called me up during the PA bow season and told me that his cousin just shot this buck and that I had to see it. Well I didn't see it, but was told the story. He shot it in Trappe PA where a little patch of woods layed between two housing areas.
Well long story short he took it to a taxadermist to get the head mounted because he knew it was a lifetime buck. Well the dude wouldn't touch the it. He said he had to make a phone call and that he would get back to the hunter. A couple of hours later he gets the call and when he met the tax. guy there, there was a Cabela's rep there with a $130,000 check to buy the deer and a slip for a replication mount.
Apperently its a state record and worth $130k. What the hell....I would have sold it too. I don't know scores or any of that crap, but it was 20 somepoints and a couple inch thick at bottom of horns. Personally I'd rather catch a $130k tuna or marlin!!
HEY KAYJAY....YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE THE BIG DEER IN MD........WE HAVE TONS OF DEER IN CAROLINA , BUT NOT QUALITY ..........MOST GUYS ARE INTO DOG HUNTING AND IT RUINS IT FOR MOST STILL HUNTERS
AND TRAP.......NOT SURE IF I WOULD HAVE SOLD IT , BUT I WOULD LOVE FOR THAT NICE RACK TO COME BY MY STAND..............
THE ONLY BIG RACKS I SEE ARE AT MY BUDS PLACE IN OHIO........IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE ONE WEEK A YEAR UP THERE , I WAS BE "STARVING" FOR QUALITY
MARTY
Yeh I don't know if it was a good decision or not but I don't know anything about it. I do like eating the steaks though!Originally Posted by WAHOONBOX
Man; I wish it were still open. I hunt on an island in between the Mississippi and Yazoo rivers. I am one LUCKY sob to be able to hunt here. The state closed the season almost two weeks early because of the rising water. I had a good season; two eights in two days, 22 in. spread on one and 20 on the other. Both over 225 lbs. The rut was late this year, and guess what, thats the time we lost due to the season closing. Its sure was fun until the closed it with the rising water and all.
