Hey jesse, In my experience with 4 x 4's. It is best to look for a vehivle in still stock form. Then make the neccesary modes you need. The reasoning behind this is, a vehicle that already has a lift and big tires, and say is 10 years old, has probably been used and abused and most componets have been stressed severly. It may look to be in good shape, but will have it's bugs. Then you will spend more time wrenching on it than driving it! A stock truck was probably just a highway/dirtroad cruiser. Also look for manual locking hubs. Just more reliable. There are so many aftermarket parts for Off-Road vehicles that any vehicle you get will parts available. Let us know what ya find.

before we moved to nc, we sold both our off-road trucks, because we didnt think we would need them... well now im 16, and can drive, and i wish we had one of them off-roaders again.
im really looking for a 93' blazer, the year that chevy came out with the new model. big b v8, lightweight, durable truck. also they look sweeet lifted with 35's. have found a few on autotrader, and have called the people, but nothing great.
