Thanks to all the memebers for the advice and replies. I will be going the first week of March and wonder if anyone has had experience with a GOOD charter on the Island?

Cap't mikes was the charter I went on. Maybe it's different now, who knows ?
Charter fishing on vacation is a bad idea in my opinion. If you want to go charter fishing, book the trip, go and enjoy it. But to go away for a week and think your going to get in a little fishing is not a good idea in my mind. I have never seen where its come out good. Its sort of like being in a tournament....WMO for example. And you take a flat of butters and two chum buckets with you just in case. Just in case what? On the way back in you see a shark! Who cares........Never, I repeat NEVER try to go on vacation and think your going to have a great charter trip too. The charter really doesnt care what you think because on saturday, your going home never to be seen again. Next boat load of suckers arrives tomorrow.
Your right Alex. I learned the hard way. I wouldn't say my expectations were high, but I just like seeing people that never caught a gamefish before, get a whole hearted effort from the people they hired. Not a pure robbery. For me it was a boatride. For the guys from England on the boat, the only time they'll ever be able to afford a shot at a gamefish. I know you will, and I will to- call a spade- a spade. St. Lucia was very nice for us, although I wish I stayed at the other Sandals resort, that we visited the one day rather than ours. The beach was a little better. We met a lot of nice people from all over the country there. A lot of honeymooners though.

Yes, Went to St. Lucia last June, Stayed at Sandals-Halcyon
Resort. It was very very nice. Had a wonderful time, great food, people and beaches. Would go back !
leavin at 5AM-will keep you posted. Even if it is a bad idea, and we catch no fish, a day on the water with a line in beats sitting on a beach with the family (will have at least 6 of those). I'll let you know how it goes! Thanks for all the input
