The lack of standards that I see is disgusting.

How is it that we have a tax evader for a treasury secretary? How can he enforce tax laws that he broke? I didn’t see the reason for Daschle to withdraw his name, the standard had already been set when they confirmed Geithner. (I think Rangel falls in the tax evader category also).

And speaking of confirmations, why did the Senate seat Roland Burris? Whether he was qualified or not, the fact that Blagojevich nominated him to fill Obama’s seat should have been reason enough to wait. Might as well go ahead and seat Franken(stein). Who cares if there is a lawsuit.

No lobbyists. (In a hushed voice) - Except for a few and we hope you, the American public, don’t actually find that out. We just want you to think that we have standards.

Transparency? What transparency? It seems to be lost on people now, but there was a huge list of documents and records that Obama refused to produce prior to the election. That is not very transparent. He must be talking about your and my records and lives, not his.

Is anyone else embarrassed to have Hillary as Secretary of State? The rest of the world must be laughing their a**es off looking at what is going on here.

The long term implications are the scariest for me. Potential Supreme Court nominations, federal judges, etc. These are the people that can completely screw us. Obama thinks the Constitution should be interpreted and is a fluid document that should be changed over time. Any hunters out there? Look out. I enjoy hunting. I also enjoy the guns that I have that were my grandfather’s. I will probably never shoot some of them, but could I be forced to give them up?

I am scared of the world that I will leave for my daughter. She is only in 2nd grade but I already see the difference between when I was young and now and I don’t know if we can stop it.

Why do Pelosi and her ilk keep getting reelected? These people need to go home. What can we do?

Scared to damn death...and it doesn't seem like anyone on Capitol Hill gives a crap anymore. Everyone seems to be looking at this "crisis" as a potential money grab for themselves while we have to bend over and take it where the sun doesn't shine.

We don't need a damn monetary bailout! Why the hell should we tax payers pay off the buttheads who screwed up in the first place?! Yeah, I know that Washington regulations forced the hands of some of the CEO's but the vast majority of them had no business running a shady fly by night used car lot much less multi billion dollar corporations. (No offense to anyone making a living off of a shady fly by night used car business.) We need to throw Washington overboard and clean house - the White House and both Houses of Congress. Instead of it being screw us, it should be screw them!

Hell! Now the damn thought police are probably going to rat me out and have the IRS audit me for speaking out about the annointed one and his band of merry thieves.

Given our current state of the economy, Treasury Secretary was the single most important cabinet position. Geithner was a terrible appointment not only because he was guilty of tax evasion, but he was also the one who failed to save Lehman. Lehman's fall destroyed all confidence in the financial markets and we've been enduring the effects ever since. That was a terrible mistake.

Right now the Communist News Network is reporting that The Chosen One has said he has the votes in the Senate to pass "his" plan. He talks in his news conference like he actually knows what the hell he is talking about. I want to scream! In fact, I have! I think there are high school kids that might have been a better choice for our country.

in all likelihood the Dems may well increase their majority in the next election. All they need to do is register 4 or 5 million Hispanics and they are "Congress for Life".

I hate to tell you this but you will need to add four more years to this clown's term. Unless something major happens in terms of reigning in ACORN and all the dead or otherwise ineligible voters, this worthless piece of shiat is in the White House for the full 8. Anyone that runs against him is going to be branded a racist or an Uncle Tom as soon as their candidacy is announced. Unfortunately, the dumbing down of America has been significant enough over the years that the montra will most likely stick and those candidates will be dead in the water before they even get started. The Obama machine doesn't address dissenters...it eliminates them. Welcome to Chicago Mob politics.

I wonder if William Ayers will get to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom on a regular basis...
