Anybody know anything about fishing in Destin or Pensacola?

I am down here unexpectedly for about a week and might possibly have some time to do some fishing. Anyone have any recommendations for anything fishing in this area this time of year? I dont care whether its inshore, offshore, backcountry, shore, pier, headboat, freshwater, or saltwater. I just want to wet a line. Thanks in advance.

Right now it's all about the cobia. There is a boat called "Twilight", the captains name is Robert Hill... Good capt.

Cobia, Cobia, and more Cobia right now. This is prime time for sight fishing for these things. Most of the fishing takes place right off the beach out in front of Destin. If on Rt 98, Look for Harbor Docks or AJ's, The charter fleet is right there. Beautiful time of year in north Florida. We've got a place on Gulf Shore Drive, in Destin. Enjoy!

like everyone else said, cobia off the beach. sight fish from the tower and sling bucktails or eels at them. also wouldnt hurt to troll a big lipped plug, lots of potential for big bull reds

    I live in Destin.

Right now, COBIA fishing is hot. Spanish are becoming thick along the beach & Shalimar Bridge as well. Kings are biting nearer to shore - - http://www.okaloosaislandpier.com has some nice King pics and daily reports.

Anything else you want to know - feel free to send me a PM.
