it is an awesome tourney i fished it two years ago. the events, food and atmosphere is great, we had a blast. dont forget to bring your kite b/c that is how they fish for them at least when I was there. vitamin c in a little wide open contender smoked the fleet. again the party was better then the fishing but we had a ball

I will be if I can find another boat to work on. The boat I usually fish with decided to not fish the tournament this year. As stated above it's a great tourney with excellent evening events and food. I know the tourney director Mike and the creator Chris and they pride themselves on a fun event. Along with your kite bring helium set up, you never know what the weather will bring. Good Luck!

We will be fishing the WSC for the second year. Year 1 was a big learning experiance. I recomend you get down there and prefish the tournamnet. Also make sure you have plenty of live bait on order. We are going to spend the month of April down there we will be getting our new boat the middle of March so we need to break it in prior to the tournamnet. It is a 1st class tournament all the way.

Prepare to get an ass whooping, there are a lot of top notch guys fishing that sucker down there. I Should be there provided nothing else changes between here and there!

If you are there make sure you come to the Contender BBQ.

If you need any help with baits etc I can hook you up with my guy. If you are not staying on the boat there is also a decent hotel that is not thru the roof and within walking distance to the marinas and everything else for that matter.

The awards dinner and events are top notch thru out!

Like Jim said pre-fish and baits, and WIND or Helium

Contender one and the rest of the boats are in this one too and its crushing #'s...when they are in them the numbers are unreal.

Best of luck to all who fish!

    Thanks Mary good point

I went through two large bottles of helium last year between the tourny and pre fishing the wind was just not there. Also make sure you have plenty of Kites, I only had 6 and would lose one every time I chased a fish until i remebered they were there and adjusted my chase. So load up with all the gear and have fun.

Kite fishing is my favorite thing to do, your always busy! You can never have enough 2-3 years straight and maybe 1 day per year with wind. Flat lined out there!

Its a fun time across the board with this tournament!

Jim if you need anything down there give a yell

Here is a video from 06 Vitamin Sea rocked the house in Conch 33 that year Counter Culture Contender One's son did very well too! As with many others.

Thanks Mary look forward to seeing you down there. Stop by the Westin and check out the new boat when you get in.
