Anybody else suffer sinus problems ??

Any suggestions from anyone suffering from chronic sinus infestions?
Atleast once a month I get serious drainage. Not to gross anyone out but its like constant drips down the throat. Especially now with spring approaching seems like it gets even worse. Ive tried flonase, and all kinds of meds nothing seems to work anymore.

Get a Neti Pot and use it daily. It is like a teapot that you pour into one nostril and it flushes out your sinus cavities by emptying out the other nostril. Salt/water solution

Sounds gross but I heard about it from my wife via OPRAH and am a firm believer after a few months of use.

Neti pot works but I use the bottle method. It gets more pressure and gets the shit out!!

I started getting infections, then I stoped drinking milk and have not had another. For me it worked, individual success will vary.

i've had serious allergy/sinus issues all of my life. then i moved to Key West and things have changed drastically. yes, i'm suffering as of this second from a sinus infection, but this is a once a year thing as opposed to a monthly occurrence when i lived elsewhere. there's something to be said for the island life.

but i do believe in the Neti Pot idea. never used it, but have resorted to snorting salt water up my nose (per my Dad's advice). it does work.

Me too! Me too! Plus allergies to almost everything. Indoor, outdoor, seasonal, you name it.

One thing the allergist said last time I was there was that acid reflux could be the cause for my sinus problems. Haven't started treatment yet, but if you have frequent acid reflux that may be something to ask about.

I had surgery a few years back to clear out my sinuses. Said they made a bunch of little cavities into one big one...one on each side of my head. The ones in the front. Fixed a deviated septum while they were in there that is mysteriously still deviated Neither operation had any effect.

I agree with everyone that the neti pot/salt water will help. Have used both, but am not dedicated like I should be. I do notice a difference when I spend two weeks at the ocean every summer, as well.
