Got a question for those in the know. What do you think about the wave rider surfing machines. Like a flowrider machine. Would it be worth building one? Holler back!

Capt Josh would be the right one to ask... If he isn't "hardcore" enough - Catherine certainly is...
Not the same as "tube time", but still fun...![]()
My question is are you looking to make money on this or just to have fun. Something like this is great but when I surfced I would spend hours in the water and I am not sure how many people can surf at a reasonable cost to cover the investment. Your money would be made if it was indoors and you can draw form Wrightsville south. I can't tell you how disappointed I was when Lake surf in Vass,nc was talked about and I thought wow I can surf close to home only to find out they built a big ass lake with no wave machine.
I surf quite a bit. I think it would be fun to surf one of those for sure. If anything it would be good practice staying sharp and working on turns and so on when the swell is flat(that's when I fish). It would be fun just to try something new. There is just no comparison to a perfect wave from the ocean. If you had one, you would have more friends!!!!
Now REEL SHARP.....whats makes you think I dont have any friends? Now youve gone and hurt my feelings.
Robja, Im looking at it as a new attraction in the Myrtle Beach Area. Even throwing around the possibioity of a retractable roof for summertime and indoors for winter. Just tryin to get a real world perspective of how it would be accepted. You know Im a BIZNESS MAN!![]()
They will come. Surfers are passionate and would surf in their sleep if it could be done.
I'd love to try one of those things. Although it's probably quite different from surfing, I could see it being a hit in an area like MB, considering the waves down there..
I think it would be attractive to more than just surfers. Snowboarders, skiers, skateboarders, body boarders....I mean it could be attractive to the hardcore or the mid western kid who has always wanted to try rippin it up. Like I said, just tryin to get some real world feedback on the acceptance of it. Thanks for the help.
Now I can just IMAGINE.........ROBJA....... on a board.......HANGING!! DUUUUDE!!!![]()
Make sure to get a long board for the plus sized folks...
