I had wrestling practice tonight and hit my head hard...have a bad headache and light hurts my eyes ......does that mean i have a concussion....and if so what do i do

Duct tape will fix most any ill but head smacks need to be looked after... Did your lights go all the way out?
Is vision blurred?
Can you follow your finger back and forth and up and down?
Ears ringing?

If the ears ring, you cant follow your finger, the lights went all the way out and not just "dimmed" , and your vision is blurry. You may have a small concussion... No biggie... Rest will fix it...

If your lights went all the way out and this headache changes to very sleepy in a hurry, go get checked. That could be a subcranial hemotoma.

If the vision is blurry but not bad it should be ok with some rest... If you can follow your finger and it adds to the headache basically you banged yourself into a migraine...
Give it a while to go away on its own. I don't reccommend aspirin yet cause if something in there is bleeding it could make it worse... Bleeding isn't something to get worked up over at this point. Even a bruise is bleeding of a type... Don't want to take the chance though...

Seek proper medical attention and then ignore it like I do......

I need surgery on my left knee to repair a "complex tear of the medial miniscus". The doctor wanted to do the surgery the following week (which would have been last week) but I told him that it would have to wait until January. He asked why so long and I told him that I couldn't miss "striper season". When he found that I would be fishing out on a 21' boat, he went pale and just asked if I had been dropped on my head as a child.

He dropped his head and shook it. Wrote me a script for pain pills and said to get out of his office and he'll see me in January......

The look on his face was priceless when I said "striper season" ROFLMAO

thanks guys....went to the doctors today and he said a very minor concussion...i did hear ringing in my hears and i stil do a little but i feel alot better

As mentioned above the ringing is a pretty clear signal... I guess Ol Dr. Deep isn't a total quack after all...
