Nope, not funny.
Reminds me of a slob ass Conch boat Captain I worked for. He was to lazy to take responsibility for his leaking ass diesel lines but damn sure never stayed at the dock when the weather was crap. Nope, little dawn in the bilge before clearing the pilings every afternoon just so noone would report or see the diesel slick in the inlet if the bilge pumps came on.
Don't take this personal, but I agree....your joke is not funny...nope...not even a little....almost idiotic.
Holwachagot
Maybe if you had Vince from Shamwow in your scenario..........
Nah, this ones gonna hurt for a long time.
Wouldn't be jokin if this were your home port.

And I'm the village idiot?
Coming from the man that spends so much time on here he needs more than one screen name to post his bullshit, I'm not the least concerned.
I am impressed that you had the guts to post this under your original screen name.

Barefoot, don't be too soon to jump to conclusions. I'm a gulf guy myself now that my relo is over. Pensacola to Venice, with an occasional SC report is where you will see my reports coming from. Lets go fishing.

I hear ya, just trying to digest the probability that all forms of water activity are done for the foreseeable future around here.
Wrong time of year to be considering winterizing the boat. I walked out on the dock today to check out the fish, crabs, gators & birds and a real feeling of dread that even Dawn can't wash away.
The bayou / sound & offshore are pure life this time of year - a shame.
Actually I have seen them air spray slicks before and it does work. Load up a couple of those DC10 converted tankers with some kind of biodegradable soap and it would knock a lot of the problem out...
Theres another company that has another product that can be sprayed that causes it to clump up and sink...
So much could be done that isn't. Seems to me somebody doesn't want to fix this mess... Don't have a clue who... Bunny huggers? Florida anti drillers? The big cheese himself? I'll explain that one... he's big on the bunny hugging band wagon but then goes and gives a thumbs up for a green light to poke holes... Now he's back on the popular side of that discussion... This thing blows up making a mess and slamming the brakes on future drilling plans... Hey he WAS in favor... Playing both sides of the fence?![]()
