In the satellite picture the slick looks like it is 100 X 30 miles plus the dog leg portion so roughly 4000 sq.miles of oil on the surface.They are injecting a dispersant 5000 feet down near the break so god knows how much oil is suspended in the water column this whole mess makes me think twice about Rigs off Virginia.

I see you live in Va... so your concern should be about rigs to your south due to the gulfstream currents. Rigs off Va should have those in Long Island concerned... but having greaseballs on the beach is no different than the number of them in the Hamptons. (for HUBRIS)

This is retarded. It's out there with the damn sargassum for gods sakes! When is the last time you saw sargassum stacked on the beach? It happens...but not often. Normally in the late fall. It will be ripped up in those eddies till its basically gone. It's time to stop calling it a "GULF DISASTER".
