According to SAMFC Red snapper fishing has been over fished since 1996. But who has been over fishing. We would say not Recreation fishermen but they do. They say that we take in over 80% of the snapper. But how do they no this? They cant just be going by what are limits are. They can't just say a boat brings in so many pounds a year. They can't say they count the Fish u bring in when you get stopped. They have no true system of saying how many snapper we actual catch. Then in an article on the Gulf side of Florida says shrimp trawler take in 95% of the by catch of red snapper and grouper. They say there going to shut are snapper and grouper fishing down because all the commercial guys have to big of limits and wiping us out. The government works against us if they pass this law all we are going to have left is trolling and that only good for 4 months out of the year.



We need to speak up and stop this.
