Airport Hell

Take 100,000 of the most pissed off people you have ever seen and stick them in a building. Welcome to Chicago O'hare. Every person you look at looks as if they want to kill someone. People screaming, running, pushing, crying, never seen anything like it. Thank god for the eye candy. Spent 18 hours yesterday mixing and matching flights and got to sit on a tarmac for 3 hours in Springfield MO.40 person plane and my 6'4 ass gut to sit next to a sweating 300 lb canadian who was having panic attacks. Luckily they gave us a 6 ounce water bottle to calm everyone down. This was after driving 4 hours through the flooded areas of MO and Arkansas, which should have been only an hr drive. Those people have it worse than anyone right now. Finally make it to Chicago and it was like entering a department of motor vehicles at the end of the month. Waited another 6 hours and finally made my way east. Was just on the verge of renting a car in Chicago when I finally found a flight. Thankfully, I got to sit ***** on a full flight next to a butch lesbian and a muslim. Great conversation. Got to baltimore and waited another hour for my bag witch actually showed up. Id say 300 people there never even got their bags. Wife was late as she got pulled over for having a light out. I was flying United and from my experience, it wasnt that bad compared to the rest.

If that wasn't such a pathetic story I would be laughing right now. I am not looking forward to getting on a plane. I hope this shit calms down in the next couple of weeks. Can't really drive to venezuela. Unless I want to leave today

And to save a couple bucks I decided to book a flight with miles and it has me stopping twice this time instead of once.

I just got back to Philadelphia on American Airlines and was one of the lucky ones.

I talked to other AA flyers who were missing funerals, cruise ship departures and one lad who was missing his first big job interview.

Damn...sorry to hear about that. My wife and I still talk about our one hell trip where on the last leg, we sat behind a dude who had been traveling for over 24 hours. To say that this guy had bad BO is an understatement. I felt like burning my skin/hair just to get something decent to smell!

I'm headed to Atlanta this afternoon...and was there yesterday and everything on Delta seems to be a-ok. Glad I don't have to head out east this week or next.

Pretty pathetic effort by these airlines.

flew home from new mexico on thursday. three flights on southwest and not an empty seat on any of them. the flight attendants were making fun of the first class passengers bumped from American and forced to ride with the common folk. even the airport in new mexico was a mess.
